100,000 e-terminals to be installed

More than 100,000 e-terminals for accessing government services electronically are planned to be installed in the Russian regions by 2015, according to the Ministry of Communications. Already, 500 e-terminals are in operation in the country. Customers will be able to pay for government services in cash and by card. The e-terminals are also equipped with a printer and scanner. The launch of a universal e-card in 2012 will also allow Russian citizens to access the government services portal.
