Mail.ru recorded $85.6m net profit in H1 2011

Mail.ru Group, one of the largest internet companies in Russia, registered net profits of $85.6m (€61m) in H1 2011, which translates into a 115.6% year-on-year increase. Total sales revenues of the company increased over the reviewed period by 66.3% on a yearly basis, hitting $228.2m (€162.5m). The organic revenue growth was 59.3% year on year in H1 2011, and excludes the results of
ICQ, an online communication tools and services provider which was acquired by Mail.ru in 2010.
In H2 2011, the company plans to focus its efforts on the integration of its key internet projects, as well as on regional expansion in Russia and in the region of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
