VimpelCom: reported to FAS by regional operators


2009-09-21

The association of Russian regional operators have filed a complaint to the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) against the Russian telecom operator VimpelCom, according to a report by Prime-Tass. VimpelCom was accused of discriminating against regional operators by refusing to provide interconnection services to them or offering unfair terms of services. VimpelCom denies the allegations, stating that Russian law does not require it to provide interconnection services to other telecom operators.
