Megafon sells SIM cards via post offices


2010-01-04

The mobile phone network operator Megafon has signed a contract with Russian Post to sell its pre-activated SIM-cards (subscription packages) in post offices in Russia. Megafon's subscription packages are currently available to buy in 15,000 post offices and, from Q1 2010, this will be extended to all other post offices in the country that are within the operator’s coverage footprint. In the future, Megafon and Russian Post plan to expand the range of products offered in post offices by adding mobile devices such as Megafon-branded modems.
