eBay grows Russian sales

The Russian eBay platform Bay.ru has announced a 37% increase in its online sales in 2009 compared to 2008. Luxury items accounted for 22% of goods sold on Bay.ru; 18% were toys, 15% auto parts and 12% electronics and gadgets. It is forecast that by the end of 2010 sales orders will have increased by 70% compared to 2008.
Bay.ru was created in 2006 specifically for eBay.com auction deliveries in Russia and has representative offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
