Severo-Zapadny Telekom awaits FAS decision on Polarkom acquisition

The Russian telecommunications company Severo-Zapadny Telekom has applied to the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) requesting permission to acquire 100% of the telecommunications company Polarkom located in Murmansk. The FAS believes that the acquisition of Polarkom will hinder competition in the local telecommunications market in the Murmansk region. As a result, the FAS has decided to extend the application time for the decision to be made.
