MTS increases subscriber numbers


2010-06-28

The mobile phone operator MTS increased its subscriber base in May 2010 by 330,000, of which 120,000 are in Russia. Its total subscriber count in Russia at the end of May comprised 69.85 million users, an increase of 0.2% against April. The company has 17.44 million subscribers in Ukraine, 7.48 million in Uzbekistan, 2.10 million in Turkmenistan, 2.1 million in Armenia and 4.56 million in Belarus.
