Komstar acquires Penza Telekom


2010-06-28

The Russian telecommunications company Komstar-OTS has acquired 100% of Penza Telekom, the Penza alternative telecommunications operator and internet and cable TV provider in Penza and Zarechnyy. In Q1 2010 the company had 47,000 internet subscribers, 42,000 cable TV subscribers and 1,500 telephony customers. The Penza Telekom acquisition is part of a joint regional expansion strategy for MTS and Komstar-OTS in Russia.
