Bely Veter Tsifrovoy starts selling Megafon services

The Russian consumer electronics retailer Bely Veter Tsifrovoy has started selling mobile internet solutions provided by Megafon. As such, the retailer now acts as a reseller for five operators.
In H1 2010 sales of mobile contracts generated by Bely Veter Tsifrovoy rose by 83% year on year. By the end of 2010 the company plans to have increased sales of mobile services by a further 30%.
The retailer’s goals are supported by the constantly rising number of mobile internet users in Russia. According to PMR report Telecommunications market in Russia 2010. Development forecasts for 2010-2014, in 2010 Russia will have 48.8m internet users and its growth rate in this year will amount to 14.8% year on year.
At the end of Q1 2010 Bely Veter Tsifrovoy operated 87 stores. Together, these stores occupied a total combined area of 23,000 m².
