Beeline launches 3G network in Bratsk

Russian mobile phone provider
VimpelCom, which operates the Beeline mobile network, has launched its 3G network in Bratsk, one of the main economic and industrial centres of the Irkutsk region. The main supplier of 3G network equipment is Huawei. VimpelCom plans to develop its 3G network in the Irkutsk region in 2010 by extending it to 13 other residential towns in the region.
3G networks have been launched in 20 residential towns in the Far East Province of Russia since the beginning of 2010. Currently, 3G networks operate in 26 towns in the Province.
