VimpelCom increases foreign operator voice traffic

The
Russian mobile phone operator
VimpelCom has reported an increase in voice traffic generated by foreign operators, amounting to $104.3m in the first half of 2010. Its Beeline network increased its foreign operator voice traffic by 8.4% in comparison to the same period last year.
The company has approximately 300 direct connection agreements with international network operators including those with
Turktelecom (Turkey),
Etisalat,
Vietel and
Gtel (Vietnam) and
Telecom Egypt signed in H1 2010.
