Microsoft launches government price portal

2010-11-10

The Russian Ministry of Communications and Microsoft have launched an internet portal announcing the maximum selling prices for Microsoft software for the government sector. The specified prices will become the guidelines for government organisations with the end price to be determined by the company’s partners in Russia, the sole sales channel via which Microsoft licenses are sold. Information on other vendors’ prices will be added in the near future.
In July 2010, Microsoft signed a contract addendum with Atlas to sell software products to Russian government organisations.
